Hit and miss
I recently replaced two of these, one in my 2003 Silverado 1500, with the 5.3 V8, and another in my buddies 2003 GMC 2500 with the 6.0 V8.
The one in my truck has been working great for about 3 months now, but the one in my buddies truck made it like a week, before the gauge just pinned at 80 PSI. So something's not right with it.
Anyway, nice we can get these replaced under warranty, annoying how tricky it is to get to.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
OEM Replacement for OEM Results
Performing well on 2006 silverado 1500 with no leaks and proper output voltage. I gave it 4 stars because the threads started galling during the installation. All was fine after cleaning up the threads, removing some of the pre-applied thread lock, and applying some anti-seize.

The other brand thats a lifetime warranty failed, paid 40.00 MORE for the ac delco and IT too failed... sooo, why 40.00 more when it doesnt matter what brand, theyre going fail! Both installed professionally. Btw, that will cost about 240.00 for professional installation. Advance auto parts AND Snap On diagnostic readers said BOTH times its the oil pressure sensor. It doesnt matter where you buy the part, at least Advance Auto Parts wont give you a hassle with warranty and will do all they can to make it right. The customer service gets 5 stars, the part? 1 star. Take the average, you have 3 stars.

This sensor failed after one week. Installed the warranty replacement, and it has been working for a month.
