2014 - Buick Encore Genuine GM Bag
Most stuff now adays made in Manchina. Opt'd for what is listed as GM. The part I got was proudly made in Czech Republic. So miss the good ole days of made in M3xico meant good stuff..
Anyways.. It fixed the check engine light and engine over heating alarms. Get yourself a scanner (not just a code reader) so you can look at live data. CTS/ECT showed 284 degrees key on cold. Unplug the sensor and scanner read -40F. (proving I'm looking at correct sensor). Installed new sensor then it showed 78 degrees.. Then I started veh for the first time that day and watched temp slowly rise from 78 degrees.
Be aware. Seen most video stating and showing the ECT/CTS is in the radiator. Do the scanner / unplug trick like I laid out above. Anything the PCM gonna use for temp is usually located by the TStat housing.. NOT in the radiator. I think that is RCT (Radiator Coolant Temp). My hunch the one in the radiator runs the gauge or something. Not too tough of fix. Swapped out sensor and only dribbled a tsp of coolant or less. Good luck!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend
