Fixed my thermometer reading immediately
Engine fan stayed on after I turned my truck off. I then noticed the thermometer reading wasn't working on my dashboard. After replacing the engine coolant thermostat everything ran as it should.

This part was faulty right out of the box. So much for buying the 'better' OEM brand. Put in a generic replacement worked fine right away.

Before You Buy Read This - change the thermostat first or at the same time. That code you have on a malibu can be set by a bad thermostat. It causes the heat gauge to stop working also.

I'm glad I used the part that advance auto parts carries its the original AC Delco OEM part we get up and works great! Now my truck is back to running at a normal temperature.
