I have used many filters on Gm cars and trucks over the years. Read many professional and customer reviews. One thing that stands out is that these filters never fail and do better than average in regards to filtering capacity. I only cut open a Fram and a AC to see if all the reviews were true about the constructions. They are at least with these. I will never run Frams again even though I never had a failure. These are the best for your GM vehicle as long as you chage oil as the manufacture recomends. I also like Wix,Bosch, and Pure 1 which might even be better but at a cost.

I am sure it is a good filter but looking up my vehicle they list a PF61 for a AC Delco and a PF3980 for a Fram. These are not the same filters and the PF3980 is the correct filter and the PF61 is not. Found that out 20 miles from a parts store. Fuel at 4/gallon made this an expensive filter for me.

I remember when they started making these with a plastic cage in the center. I'm glad to see it's all steel inside again. I've used these over 20 plus years now and the quality is back where it was when they were the best.

I try to use OEM parts for my vehicles when available. Use this filter on my 2005 Chevrolet Colorado. Always convenient to stop by the local Advance Auto store on my way home from work. Good product for a good price.

                  A:

Hi Markj3, glad to assist you! This part is an exact fit for your 2008 Chevrolet Uplander LS. For help with your project, I recommend purchasing a Haynes or Chilton repair manual specifically for your vehicle. This should be able to assist you further into detail on how to repair or replace specific parts.

              • Q:

This filter comes up as a direct fit for a 5.7L V-8, but it is not the correct filter. This filter will fit any LS series engine, Northstar, or "high feature" V-6, but not the old type small block GM. The correct PN for a 5.7L is PF52.

Hi Kris, I'm happy to help! I checked the manufacturer's catalog, ACDelco, it does list Chevy and GMC 5.7L V8 (79-81) Suburbans as exact fit for this part. Please provide your vehicle's year, make, model and engine size and I will has this checked with our second level team.

Your site says this oil filter does not fit my 2011 6.0 HD pickup, but it is on it right now and has been used since purchased. Whats the deal, and it is also recommended by chevy for its anti drain back valve to prevent oil cooler drainback.

                  A:

Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our database is based on the manufacturer's database and ACDelco has not included a 2011 6.0 HD Pickup in its fitment application list for this item. However we will have this checked and rectified at the earliest.

The oil filter on your vehicle is located underneath the vehicle, toward the front of the vehicle, more towards the passenger side of the vehicle. If you get under the vehicle you will see it with the top pointing straight down in between the oil pan and front frame rail.

Underneath the vehicle, you should have a skid plate covering the oil drain plug. Once the skid plate is removed to where the oil drain plug is visible, look torwards the front passenger side through the gap and you should see the bottom of the oil filter there. It is kind of difficult to.
