Watched the Dorman tip video
Prior to purchasing I watched the Dorman quick tip video for installing this bushing. After following the tip of soaking the part in hot water and then being sure by using a small screwdriver to mske sure the bushing was completely & properly seated within the cable , it snapped right on without issue. After a few forceful tugs to make sure it was secure, im confident in the part performing as intended.
Any of the negative reviews i would question if the bushing was 100% properly seated prior to connecting the cable. Just my $.02

Lasted one week
I purchased this part for my 2013 Yukon. My mechanic installed it. One week later, while in a touch less car wash, I went to put in drive to leave and knew exactly what had happened. So here I go under a dripping wet clean car into the still remaining water on the concrete floor. While soaked, I try to connect the cable just to make it home, the water from one of the car wash arms is dripping into my face and ear the entire time because of course i was still in the designated parked position for the wash. To say I was one upset 50 yo who was just trying to get to an activity with her geandbabies is putting it nicely. Ill be replacing it this time with the original OEM part by AC Delco

Don't waste your time. Just buy a new cable
They give you two in the box for good reason. The first is for practice hoping you'd figure it out with the first one. Went on their website and watched the tip video and still didn't fit.

I bought it for a 2011 GMC Yukon xl denali and it never worked right. It's a waste of time and money. I ended up buying 2 packages to see if I got a bad batch. It didn't make any difference. Constantly fell off. I ended up ordering in a shifter bracket popping off the stud and tapping it for a 1/4-20 sholder bolt. Workes flawless

Pops off. No good. Don't waste your time.
Popped right off. Stayed for 1 gear shift. I tried both (2) bushings to make sure. Yep, both popped off. This product is terrible.
