ACCEL's SuperStock 4000 series spark plug wire sets are designed to upgrade an OE ignition system for high-spark delivery levels for street driven applications. The 450 degree F rated silicone jacket is extruded over a tightly woven, rugged fiberglass braid. The braid is applied over high dielectric strength EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) inner insulation for ignition wire performance that exceeds SAE specifications.

wish it had my euro type ends, but it's still a great deal!
I'm writing about the Accel Universal Fit Super Stock straight boot 8mm Suppression; Spark Plug Wire Set. I used it for my 95 2.0L vw Jetta, It was not an exact fit but was not supposed to be or described to be. I used my oem original wire ends from the wires I was replacing and everything else went smooth. And speaking of smooth so was the idle and I had a way cleaner burn with the 8mm wire!!! Side note(my 2.0 has 24lb injectors from and Audi 1.8t) My mk3 ran really rich before installing the Accel super stock coil and the universal 8mm wire set. Both the wires(set of8 fyi) and the 42,000v coil cost around $70. The oem wire set alone usually goes for $60-80. After market 8mm wires(when you can find them) go for $100-150, the after market coils(yet again if you can find them) go for around $150-200. oem $80.

Good Wires but you need the Crimp Tool.
Great wires that really dress up the engine compartment. However it is nearly impossible to Crimp the connections with pliers. Advance really needs to carry the Accel Crimp in their loaner program or at least stock one in the store. On older Ford distributer caps you have to get the clamp tight enought to fit into the post. Very difficult.

Does not Fit a Land Rover Disco II

After doing a search by vehicle, these wires were listed as fitting a 2000 Land Rover Discovery Series II. These wires will not fit because the boots on the end are way too big to fit on the coil pack end. The wire itself is just fine, the supplied boots are too large and should be addressed by the manufacturer.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This kit comes with both hei and standard distributor boots. I have a standard ignition and used the standard boots.
The wires will not go through the boots. I greased them with both wd-40 and dielectric grease. No better. Tried boiling the boots in water. They will still not fit. I have ordered msd oversize boots to try.
The accel kit is virtually worthless.

Not what I expected, returned.
These wires required self installation of the ends that connect the spark plugs to the wires themselves. They were not pre-applied. I would like to have confidence in the connection from a factory built product. This was probably my fault by not knowing exactly what "universal" meant. I took these back and traded for the finished product.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Purchased for 89 gmc 3500. Easy to assemble only issue was that over half the boots were not hollowed out had to drill the rest of the rubber out to slide in wires otherwise it would've been 5 stars
