GM VORTEC CAP AND ROTOR
Vortec motors are tough on caps and rotors Dont waste your time buying a cheap one A cheap cap in my truck lasted three months , spend the extra couple dollars and you wont have problems later like i did with miss fire codes , Because of a cheap cap arking out , Truck runs like brand new with that cap . I learned my lesson.

Accel rotor defective...
I bought this rotor, along with the matching cap, around 6 months ago when tuning up my 2002 Blazer. All was fine until last night when the car suddenly died on the highway and would not start again.
After $140 towing bill to get it home, I checked the cap and rotor to find that the center tab of the rotor (the part that contacts the center pole of the distributor cap) had broken completely off. It was simply laying there in the middle of the rotor.
This vehicle has 160,000 miles on it and I have replaced cap and rotor several times in the vehicle's lifespan. This is the first time I have used a non-AC Delco replacement and paid the price. Have never seen a rotor break this way... Stay away from this part.

I did a full tune up and the burb started missing check engine light started flashing and the code was multi misfire that lead me to the distributor but I knew that the parts were brand new and a brand I could trust so I payed for a pro to look at it and sure enough he showed me my brand new part had an internal flaw.
