I purchased this cap and rotor to replace one that was well beyond needing it. I installed it that same day, using a friend's shop. I drove the truck home and there was a noticable improvement in performance. The next afternoon I went out to start the truck, and it would not start. It acted as if it was out of time. I spent some time checking to make sure the wires were on correctly, and finally pulled the cap. I found that the rotor was spinning on the distributor shaft, the plastic keyway that keeps the rotor stationary on the shaft had broken. Seeing as I had no other vehicle at my home, I had to walk several miles to return this for replacement.

When I arrived at the store, they gave me a new rotor with no problems and even offered to have a parts driver take me home when they returned from deliveries. I declined the offer wanting to get back to install the part and get the truck running before an upcoming snow storm.

I was too late, and ended up not installing the part until the next afternoon. The truck started and ran, I took it out for a couple of mile test drive and it was good.

Early the next morning I went out to start the truck, so that I could drive my wife to work using my four wheel drive, rather than the rear wheel drive car. Once again, the truck did the same thing, trying to start but then acting out of time. I ended up driving her to work in the RWD vehicle. I came home and pulled the cap, again finding the rotor free.

I pulled the cap and rotor, and took them back to the store. I was issued a refund reciept, but they say it can take 10 business days for the refund to show up on my card.

To recap, Two rotors failed. Service was not bad, but the refund is not prompt. Avoid this unless you love installing rotors. I gave one star only because there was no way to give less

              The bottom profile was different than the one original one. It will not work on a 1995 Chevy truck with a 350 like it says it will!

                I read the reveiws and was skeptical considering all of the complaints of fitment issues. Decided i would take a chance and go with this because the price was right with my speedperks rewards and it was in stock at my store. Fitment was spot on, bolted up no problem; and restored performance that was lost with the old cap and rotor (which were overdue for replacement). I bought this for an 87 chevy R-10. Either i'm lucky or Accel did the right thing and fixed the problem that customers have been complaining about.

                I was replacing an Accel cap/rotor kit of the same part number that was 12 years old after the part was replaced the car wouldn't start. I spent hours trying to diagnose the issue thinking the wires were switched up and the firing order was off. Total garbage

                    That depends on your vehicle. If you are having a hard time hooking them back up, I recommend getting a repair manual for your vehicle. This should be able to show you how to replace the cap.

                  I just went to store number 09300 to to purchase a cap and rotor kit part number 8132 (GM HEI Cap and Rotor Kit by Accel) and the sales person Michael H on my receipt, told me the cap and rotor were never sold in a kit and refused to look for part number 8132 i got from the web site. The price on the web page was $27.49. I even gave him the part number and discription, color and everything. After ringing up the two items seperately the total bill was $44.31. The receipt is dated 9/27/2010 at 18:54:24 Reg 03. If the web page is wrong it needs to be fixed, if the store is ripping off loyal customers, they need to be fixed also.
