Fuel Pumps Limited Warranty Policy

Thank you for your purchase of a new fuel pump from Advance Auto Parts. The fuel pump you purchased is warranted for the term printed on your receipt and Order Confirmation email, as long as you own the vehicle for which it was purchased, and provided your name is on the original purchase receipt or Order Confirmation email. Our limited warranty cannot be transferred to anyone at any time. If the pump was purchased and installed by a repair facility, they own the warranty and they alone can ask for warranty replacement.

In order for the limited warranty to be valid, there are certain things that must be done at the time of installation. These include:

  1. Replacement of pump screen for in-tank electric pumps
  2. Replacement of vehicle’s inline fuel filter

Failure to replace these items can result in premature failure and will cause your warranty to become void. If the pump should fail, you will be required to provide proof of purchase and installation of the related parts listed above. Should you have any questions of a technical nature, we currently have three suppliers for fuel pumps. Here are their telephone tech lines. Should you have any questions regarding installation, application, or operation of your new pump, please feel free to contact them for assistance.

  • Master / Airtext – (800) 424-7839
  • Bosch – (800) 521-5462
  • Spectra – (800) 803-9071

If for any reason your new fuel pump should fail during the warranty term printed on your receipt, please return it to the store where it was purchased, or any store if you have your receipt and it will be exchanged for you at no charge. Labor reimbursement is only considered for 90 days from the original purchase date and any claim must be filed when the part is returned. Should you wish to file for possible reimbursement, you must also provide copies of your original installation invoice, proof of purchase of the part and related parts, and a copy of the repair invoice or estimate. For parts purchased online, please contact Customer Care for assistance. The part must be shipped directly to the manufacturer and after examination of the part, they will determine if the claim is approved and the amount to be paid. Towing and any related expenses are not covered under warranty.
