1. Prepare - Mask the area, remove paint and rust.

Using 3M Automotive Masking Tape, mask around the repair area

3M Automotive Performance Masking Tape, 36mm x 32mm

Use 24-80 grit to sand to metal in the dent and use 80 grit to sand three to four inches around the dent area.

2. Repair - Pull dents, patch holes and make small repairs.
3. Fill, repair, sand and feather.

Use 180-320 grit sandpaper to smooth and feather for an even transition to surrounding paint.

4. Finish - Seal with primer, paint and polish.

Apply primer of choice, sand with 320-600 grit sandpaper.

Scuff the surrounding paint that will be blended using 800-1000 grit sandpaper.

3M Performance Soft Sanding Sponge, 800-1000 grit

Apply base coat and clear coat of choice.

Use 1000-3000 grit sandpaper to remove light scratches or minor defects in clear coat. Use rubbing compound, then scratch remover to buff out sand scratches for gloss finish.
