The Chevrolet HEI distributor is a favorite for muscle cars, street rods and even circle track racers. The integrated coil keeps under mount wiring clean, and for race cars, the idea of running one wire to the distributor keeps things simple. Tig welded on top of the distributor shaft is MSD’s adjustable centrifugal advance assembly. Mr. Gasket High Performance Thermostats are designed to resist large variations of coolant pressure at high RPM (revolutions per minute). As performance levels increase, an O.E. style flexplate just won’t cut it and a stronger option is a necessity to prevent transmission and/or converter failure. B&M has you covered with our high performance flexplate designed for 1955-85 GM small block (internally balanced) V8 engines along with 4.3L V6 engines. Also fits 1990 and earlier GM big block (internally balanced) V8 engines with two piece rear main seal.
