When the original equipment intake manifold warps, cracks or fails on certain Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles and generates an intake manifold runner control (IMRC) code, it can often be caused by a failed IMRC shaft. This Dorman OE FIX intake manifold features upgrades to the factory IMRC shaft design for a longer-lasting repair. Improvements include a redesigned IMRC shaft that’s square, not cylindrical, with the flapper secured to the shaft via a square, slot-through feature rather than the factory’s failure-prone screw-in style. This OE FIX manifold also features an additional support column at each runner location, and additional shielding to better protect the IMRC motor junction from harmful debris.
