The original headlights were six years old and had gotten quite dim. These make all the difference. Just be careful to ensure that the gaskets from the old lights aren't stuck on the housing before you try to install the new bulbs.

This is the exact headlight bulb that came in my 2014 Ford F350 Super Duty from the Ford factory, same part number and dot # as what I pulled out of the truck and Sylvania is the OEM supplier for Ford. Since the original bulb lasted 8 years and 113,000 miles why not install it again! I just hope this bulb will have the same durability and longevity as the first. Yes, the color of the light could be a bit whiter but this is their basic bulb and from before the era of white LED's. And last but far from least........Made in the USA right here in the granite state of New Hampshire!

Replaced regular Sylvania sealed beam with the Silverstar, both headlight beams are pointing more to the right "not the middle", I have replace many headlights as this being a 97 tacoma and have never had any problems before. could both of these headlights be defective? I really have no clue.. The cheaper sylvania headlights was much better than these more expensive ones.

Box says "bright white light" and shows a pic of a beam, which looks like the color of the background of this text.. However in reality is identical in yelliw color, like 2700 to 3500 Kelvin as an existing $8 lamp.

I read the other reviews and wondered if the bulbs would live up to expectations. They did not ... they easily exceeded my expectations. I regularly drive on unlit country roads late at night. I had just installed the bulbs in anticipation of an upcoming drive that would take place on a late December night. Same country roads. Oh my! I could not believe the impact of installing these bulbs. I kept checking to see if my highbeams were on because the difference from the orignal bulbs was that significant. I hate the exaggeration in advertising, but the commercials for these bulbs are no bull. I lost my confidence in driving at night, especially if I was out of town with unlit roads. From what I hear you're not supposed to actually touch the bulb as the grease from your fingers can shorten the lifespan. Old wives tail or truth? I don't know but I wore latex gloves while installing these and one burned out after only 5 months. I won't be spending extra money for fancy bulbs anymore. The light output and color was negligible from regular bulbs anyway. The cheapo bulbs have always worked for me for decades.

In 2005 I bought a mercury grand marquis, brand new. I passed it down to my son. Last week a headlight burned out. A Sylvania bulb was in there. I couldn't remember ever replacing the headlights so I checked my records and those were the original factory bulbs! 18 years!! We replaced both with Sylvania's Xtravision. They're brighter and it's easier to see at night. Good job guys!

Got these bulbs for my charger and have had them only 7 months and have to go get a 3rd set. First ones purchased in December lasted for 3 months and one burned out now 4 months after replacing those another has burned out. Would not recommend these bulbs to anyone
