The MSD Blaster TFI Coil is designed to produce increased voltage and energy over the stock Ford TFI Coil. To get even more ignition performance, install an MSD ignition Control with a PN 8874 Harness for a direct plug-in installation.

The housing and installation are the same as the factory, but that’s where the similarity ends. Inside the MSD red housing, engineers spec’d better material to assemble the primary and secondary windings. The Blaster Series Ignition Coil design puts the spark energy right out of the coil and across the plug gap to improve the combustion and output of the engine. The Blaster Coils are available individually or as a complete set of eight.

This coil features a faster rise time and increased spark duration (compared to stock) to increase performance. It has a glass-filled polyester case and oil-filled construction to ensure a long life and no energy loss from arcing.
