All modern vehicles consist of several independent operating systems controlled by a main system processor with independent sub-processors. The sub-processors provide class 2 serial information data to the main processor while handling the operation of the system and carry the circuit load to protect the main operating system. When replacing any level processor programming may be needed to enter the unit into the vehicles main operating system.
