    Louder than expected, although the aggressive sound only comes at higher rpm. Perfect for performance moddin. May be too loud for drives looking for a quite ride. Feels as if horsepower is improved, possibly due to straight through design. Very fun muffler and so happy!

    Was looking for a muffler to replace my stock on 2001 Dakota with a 4.7L V8. Come accross the 50 series from flowmaster did lots of research on this product from reveiws, it isn't obnoxious like most mufflers are, sounds great with windows down, almost stock sound with the windows up. Easy to install cut out the old muffler and installed the new with a few clamps and a 4" peice of 2.5" exhaust pipe to extent to the overaxle pipe. Put on a chrome tip and have already had a few people ask what kind of exhaust I was using. Some thought catback, but nope not worth the 600 bucks to do this to a truck with 127k on the odometer. Overall great product!!

    This product was advertised to fit a standard bed and cab 02 Tacoma PU. Not only does it not but it is about a foot to short! Have the rotted muffler off and the vehicle is not driveable until its replaced. Not happy.

    I bought the muffler and straight pipe with 02 sensor port and fit perfectly on 1998 tacoma 4x4 sr5 extra cab. No welding or cutting. Bolts up to catalytic converter and clamp at muffler. The tail pipe is already connected to muffler with support hangers also. Can't beat the price for a DYI.

    It fits, but the hangers are slightly different from the first gen tacoma original exhaust hangers, so it was rather difficult to install (for a muffler). But once it was in, it worked great. I would recommend buying an exhaust band clamp. That will help with connecting the new muffler inlet to the existing intermediate exhaust pipe.

    This excludes the pipe that runs from the catalytic converter into the muffler. It only includes the muffler and tailpipe. The stock pipe runes from the catalytic converter and has an 02 sensor on it all in one pipe. This is missing half the pipe!

    There's nothing good I can say about the temanufactured alternators at Advance. The pivot side of alternator where bolt goes through one half into other half is out just enough that you can't get the bolt threaded into the bushing on other half. Brought back, same thing with 2 others they had on shelf. It happened several months ago on a Corolla I was working on too. I loosened the 10 small bolts on alternator and turned the two halves so the bolt could start the first time. No more!

    It says it's an exact fit, but the pipe from the catalytic converter is the same size as the intake of the muffler. The intake on the muffler has to be expanded so it will go over the pipe from the cat. You can't use a coupling as it will push the muffler to far back.
