This is a good quality catalytic used on a Nissan sentra 1994 after fail inspection 2 times for a hight (hc) after instalation took it to inspection and pass it rightaway ....dealer quote me for a new catalytic $1200 I jst get this one for Less thm $200 dollars and jst took me 40mnts to install it I recomended this product!!!!!

The catalytic converter was going bad on my '99 Toyota Camry 2.2l so I swapped out the old pipe with this direct fit replacement part. After cutting off the old bolts joining this to the resonator and picking up a few of those from the Napa down the street, I was good to go. It bolted on easily and with the proper gaskets is quiet as a mouse. No leaks after a few days of driving. No noticeable performance change. This is not a performance part. The gasket near the exhaust manifold wasn't even a year old, but I went ahead and swapped it out while I had it off.

The only problem is the gasket that connects with the flex pipe to the front catalytic converter is that it needs to be a round gasket and not the daimond shape gasket that comes with the converter. For better seal, i still used the diamond shape gasket with the round gasket. It works really good overall.

Well I own a 1996 Toyota Camry V6 LE edition and it was very loud. Where the convertor connects to the condenser pipe broke off so I decided to go for this assembly. Make sure you pick up the gaskets also when you are replacing this item. I got lucky and my local advance had this in stock... but only one of the gaskets. Luckily another parts store did have the gasket I needed so I didn't have to wait for an overnight shipment. Installed easily enough but if you have a lift it makes it 100 times easier. Fit Perfect.

Exhaust systems can be problematic considering existing OEM supports and brackets, rusted chassis parts, gaskets, heat shields and insulation, etc. etc. 1999 Camry is totally OEM and this went in as slick as butter on a hot frying pan. Hardest part was, as you guess, removing existing nuts, bolts from back end of system. On the other hand, manifold downpipe connection was incredibly easy with a few squirts of WD-40. A single solid support in the middle of the assembly fit perfectly on the chasis and existing mount. Completed in less than an hour with added benefit of recovering the old converter at a recycle facility got me an extra $40. Can't beat it. DDT

I went with Advanced Auto (vs. AutoZone) for the Online order which included $25.credit offer on my over $200. purchase. Lost that when I had to exchange product at store and NO WAY to use my Paypal in store vs.online. Should be able to do exchanges on same creditcard. Followed input info to order online but still got wrong product. Wasted mechanic's time doing exchange. Messed up my day twice. Used the product for the first time this week on two vehicles I'm restoring. Luckily I had purchased a 12 pack because I went through 9 of the pads by the time I was done. I was having a problem with the foam pad separating from the hook and loop backing after very little use. I must admit the finish I got using these was very good and if I can find them for a cheap price online I might use them again. So bottom line is good results with bad durability at a very expensive cost per pad.

this converter is smaller in length than the original OEM so you would need pipe extension on both ends of CAT..It has be Welded as per Walker tech support.. cannot be U clamped to existing pipe..too costly to install be mechanic.. better pay more for original flange type and save on labor cost

Although I found what I needed, the website was the issue again. It offered a 29% discount for purchases over the amount I was spending. [They also offered $50,$20, etc for lower amounts] But at check out, and Not until then, the 20% turned into only a $50 maximum. I don't like deception, just say clearly what is being offered, Up Front. The part will be installed by a muffler shop next week.

Bought it since price was way cheaper than OEM. Bought it and removed old broken pipe in around 15 minutes. Nice when you have air tools etc. Installed new walker 50442 and hanger was not in correct position but okay. Installed on mint runner 98 ES300 and started car. Threw EGR code, sounded like it was knocking and almost could not start car; worked mint before removing. Removed new walker 50442 pipe and installed yet-again old broken OEM pipe. Started right up like a top. Had to clear code but again still runned great. Strange...Either walker had (1) bad pipe I received or they are not making product fit for no CA cars. Would I buy this pipe for a Lexus ES model, no way! Weird since it is a Toyo made car too based on prior reviews. Very nice looking product just wish it worked!

The weld near the plate that attaches to the exhaust manifold, the weld makes a circle, well the ends did not meet, there was a pin hole allowing exhaust the leak. Very poor quality this should not have been allowed.

A. Good mfg warranty and according to Magnaflow is in addition to Advance Auto Parts's warranty. B. Bright orange sheet warning to follow installation instructions, but no such instructions were included. Would have helped. C. Tech rep at Magnaflow on phone recommended break-in for the converter's "brick" was 75-100 miles at 65 mph in one drive. D. 3 fit problems: (1) Hanger rod hits against car's cross member. Had to add washers & longer bolts to the hanger bracket to get space between rod & cross member. I have to replace the washers with stainless steel. (2) 3/4" gap between this assembly and the original resonator assembly. (3) Rep said the thicker gasket went to the front. But, the other gasket wouldn't seal on the rear connection. Rep said he would send another thicker gasket, but over a week later nothing arrived. I bought a Walker gasket from Advance Auto Parts instead. E. Magnaflow rep asked me to email pictures of the rub point mentioned above. Said nobody else ever complained, but I've seen the reviews. F. Not in local store. Shipped to my home. The sound is OK, not too loud. It looks solid, but I won't be able to tell if it's really stainless steel, until it doesn't rust. Price was good, particularly with AAP's 20% discount until 1/10/13. Had to eventually also replace the resonator and muffler assemblies, but couldn't find any from Magnaflow. Used Walker assemblies instead.

Replace OE Toyota converter after 9 years with this part, not even two and half years and flex joint rusted away, got my first warranty replacement which is lasted a bit longer then 2 years and here is funny part, original converted has 5 years of warranty while replacement for originally purchased part (according to AAP sales person) has only 90 days so even second converter failed withing 5 years warranty period from original purchase date you are no longer covered by warranty and have to pony up for new converter, what's up AAP?

Experienced same issues as noted in previous reviews. That being, lower O2 sensor hole is not in the correct position causing the sensor wire to be too short. Had to support O2 sensor plug with a electrical wire tie. In addition, pipe is larger than original and bracket was tighter but still fit. Overall lenght, flanges, and hanger were in the correct position. No leaks or check engine lights when install. This is good.

When they welded the cross over to the main line, they did not cut out the connection, so when car was started it would not run and nearly ruined the engine due to not being able to exhaust gases....car would not run because there was nowhere for the exhaust to go...unbelievable.

The quality of the first unit received needed to be returned because when they welded the pipes together they did not plug the o2 sensor. Weld debris had gotten on the o2 threads. The second one received the pipe was not cut well where the 02 sensor went. I thought it needed to be cut back a little further. The o2 sensor fit and the check engine stayed off but it didnt look like the first one and didnt look correct. My warning if you buy it INSPECT it...
