As engine performance levels increase, stronger flexplates become necessary. Until this point, stronger flexplates meant thicker flexplates. This works, but it adds unwanted weight and prohibited the flexplates from working as it was designed. Flexplates are designed to provide a protection against converter and transmission run out or OEM misalignment, which will cause transmission and/or converter failure. A rigid flexplate gives no protection. The ultimate design for a flexplate is extreme strength, flexibility and minimal weight. B&M’s new RTT performance flexplate accomplishes this goal. B&M’s design allows for the removal of unnecessary material from non-critical stress areas. Less material means less weight giving you the benefits of a lightweight, flexible design with thicker material for maximum strength!

These high performance thermostats are designed to resist large variations in coolant pressures that occur at high RPM’s where coolant temperature and coolant pressure fight for control of the thermostat keeping it from opening at its designated temperature. If you are looking to upgrade your stock coil, or want to compliment the performance of your MSD blaster ignition, MSD 5, 6 or 7, the blaster coil line is the right choice. All of the blaster coils are designed for improved spark output. Special 100:1 windings are used to provide maximum build-up of voltage. These windings are held secure and kept cool in an oil filled metal canister. The tower assembly is molded of durable alkyd material due to its high dielectric characteristics while wide spaced brass primary terminals prevent the possibility of spark. There are several versions of the blaster coil available. All of them have the same internal specifications, but have different housings or components. Each blaster coil can be used with a stock ignition, blaster ignition, MSD 5, 6 or 7 ignition control. Most late model vehicles with electronic ignitions do not require a ballast resistor, check your ignition and manufacturers specifications to determine if a ballast is required in your application.

Our advanced power system line has grown to include starters. Our new APS starter is designed to crank over the highest compression engines on a hot day in Death Valley. Not that too many race cars are sitting in Death Valley, but it’s good to know that you have the oomph to make it happen. The APS starter features all new components beginning with a three horsepower motor. This power is used to crank over the reduced 4.4:1 gear set to deliver great torque to the engine’s ring gear to get the engine turning. The armature is balanced during assembly and is guided by two ball bearings for smooth engagement and thousands of starts. The downsized housing clears most headers and oil pans, but just in case, we made the billet mount so it can be clocked in different positions to help in tight applications. The assembly is powder coated MSD red and will stay looking good, even though it’s underneath your car.
