To the guy saying his wiper wouldn't fit the new part, the description of the part already mentions that you'd need a new wiper arm. That's your own fault for not paying attention. Ford Ranger and Mazda B-Series built from 1997 through sometime in November 2005 have a 3/4 inch pivot. This new wiper transmission has a 1 inch pivot. The correct wiper arm for the years I mention is Ford part number 6L5Z-17526-A. If your Ranger was built late November 2005 through 2011 you don't have to replace the wiper arm. If I hadn't found this information out from Dorman's tech support I would not be recommending this part at all, but now that I found the info I needed to finish this installation I would because nobody else manufacturers this part. Original Ford is discontinued. Often times you'd only need to replace the old bushing on the wiper arm transmission.
