A direct replacement for my old fuel pump. Made sense to replace the entire fuel pump assembly even though the old one still worked as it was 20+ years old and I had to take the entire system apart. This was a drop in replacement for my old unit and it works just like the original.

worked out just fine. My old pump had the glass bowel, but this works just as well. the fuel lines were in the same place so no change there.

I purchased this tank/pump/sending unit about 18 months ago. Fuel pump lasted about 6-8 months, returned all parts under warranty. Second fuel pump lasted the same 6-8 months, returned under warranty again. Third fuel pump lasted about 8 months. Now I'm trying to figure out if I want to go a 4th time or just buy a different fuel pump.

Like another reviewer mentioned in another review, I have replaced this tank/FDM multiple times due to the fuel pump "sputtering out". I purchased this product to replace a rusty/leaky rear tank in a 1995 F150 with the 4.9 six cylinder engine. After the last failure I contacted Spectra Engineering and was informed that "This pump is rated for an operating pressure of 43.2 Psi". This operating pressure might be fine for the V8 but the 6 cylinder runs at a higher pressure and I believe that is why these pumps sometimes fail after a while. I have since replaced the fuel pump only with one rated for my truck/engine and all is working fine.

I purchased this unit approximately a year ago to replace a rusted tank and faulty pump on a 1991 F-150. For the price, you couldn't beat the setup. Connect two lines, the electrical connector and bolt it up. My first issue is that it does not include a breather or the grommet for it. Nor does Advance carry either. I got a PCV grommet that was close enough in size, but I had to carve it out a bit to fit the old breather. The second issue is that the pump itself lasted me about 6 months before it began to sputter out. My local Advance stores don't carry Spectra pumps on the shelf, so they swapped one out from another assembly and it ran great. Now I'm looking at another pump sputtering out. This will be the second time in just over a year I've had to change the pump out. Overall it's a good value if you're lucky enough to get a good fuel pump out of it all.

Put this on my 1990 F150 and it didn't even last 2 years. Original factory pump lasted 26 years.

I purchased this pump for a car I am restoring. It took a few months before I installed it (past warranty period), and during the installation, the outlet line nipple pulled out of the pump body. The inlet line is metal with a built-in filter, however the outlet (higher pressure) is plastic and very poor quality. Since the pump is being installed in the trunk area of the car, I have ordered a different pump with metal threaded fittings on both ends. I cannot recommend this pump at all.

Inlet and outlet hoses hit the motor mount brackets. Do not purchase this if you were planning to install it on a 63 Ford.

Absolutely horrible purchase. Installed it on my 70 F100's 240 online six. Ran engine five minutes and realized the rebuilt Carter YFA carb was flooding (it did NOT flood till I replaced the old pump with this one). I pulled the carb and inspected the float and the needle/seat, cleaned them, and put it back on. Cranked the truck and it flooded the carb so it was pouring out the bottom in less than 30 seconds. When I tried to loosen the fuel line from the carb, fuel shot out like the line was VERY pressurized. Pulled this off and replaced it with a NAPA pump (theirs are made by Carter). No more flooding. And the local NAPA had it in stock whereas the local AA had to order it for me.

i had this fuel pump on my 1971 Torino 500 351c it started spraying gas out of the weap hole about 2 months after installing. I found another part store had a Delphi in stock for the same price and i drive the car on a 1200 miles road trip without any issues with the Delphi pump. please stay away from this brand!
