This carb fit directly to my 1965 pontiac GTO four barrel intake with only the gaskets and stiffener plate used. Car started and ran great with factory carb settings. Love it.

72 Gran Torino 429ci Only thing that fit was the 4 mounting bolts to manifold, Linkage hits manifold and wont move, none of the connection are the same having to modify everything. I have been working on this carburator for 2 days still not hooked up, now according to manual I need to order a throttle lever kit, throttle cable plate, transmission linkage, new longer fuel lines the are on opposite side from original. will need to spend additional $100 to get this thing to work (I hope)

It arrived in a very durable packaging and even came with the replacment seal. The instructional paperwork it came with leaves a lot to be desired; however, a quick search on line and I found what I needed. The truck I bought was modified so I had a tough time not knowing where hoses went when there weren't any to begin with. No fault of Advance though.

works good when you have all the parts for it after putting the extra parts on i had to modify them so the tranny kickdown and throttle lever did not interfere with each other. also i no longer have over drive need to find out why and the back to barrels on the carb do not open all the way again need to figure out why. the response is still impressive and my car is drivable so it did serve its purpose for now. i would reccommend this to someone else as the carburetor itself did not need any adjustments to the fuel and air mixtures my car is now running better than before.

When I finaly got installed enough to start, the carb leaked out primary bowl. I rebuilt my old carb. I hope AAP's refunds my money as fast as they took it!
