The designers definitely put some thought into this product with one exception. The part is a direct fit and seems to work well out of the box. I installed it in less than 15 minutes. There is plenty of width in the pulley to accommodate the belt. Belt travel during operation is very stable. The one thing that I was not expecting was the change in the pulley bolt. Some aftermarket tensioners have the problem of installing a pulley bolt with little room on the head of the bolt for a socket to get a grip. This bolt is OK EXCEPT IT IS METRIC. The bolt head is 15mm and not 5/8" as from the factory. Keep this in mind if you don't have a metric socket set that also fits a breaker bar. I had to use a smaller 3/8 socket wrench with a cheater bar to move the tensioner pulley. I realize the manufacturer is Canadian, but they still could have used an SAE bolt for the pulley.
