Anchor 3472 Differential Mounts are specifically engineered and manufactured to meet or exceed OE standards to ensure perfect fit and function. Natural and SBR rubber provide maximum life and performance. Steel fasteners are heat treated grade 5 bolts. A special bonding agent is used to ensure a rubber to metal bond. Rubber material is mixed to specific Durometer, hardness.

The factory power take off unit (PTU) on certain Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles often fails when extreme temperatures overheat the internal lubricant. The heat can cause catastrophic damage so severe that it becomes nearly impossible to salvage and rebuild the PTU assembly. In extreme cold conditions, the factory seals can fail and cause oil to leak from the unit. Common symptoms of these problems can include a metallic rattling sound and/or an unusual, natural gas-like scent from beneath the vehicle.
