      I had to remove the oil filter to access the switch. If you have to, you will lose the filter's gasket, so get a new filter. A 22mm socket works. I could not find a 3/8",only 1/2" drive. You will need a 1/2" knuckle, or two and extensions. A tube of anti-seize compound, in case the fitting comes out with the switch. Be sure to clean around areas before you remove the switch, and filter.

      moderate experience required for install as it's located on the back of the motor and you cannot see it, suggest cleaning with pressure washer before removal as you don't want dirt and debris falling into the motor which would stop up your new sensor
