    I changed the transmission filter and put the new gasket on and no leaks, but it didn't fix my problems. Still won't work in any forward gears. Wasted my money

    The trick when putting on these gaskets is to seat them to the pan with "ultra grey" liquid gasket maker. I have done it with "blue" "black" and all the others in the tubes. Only the Ultra Grey holds the transmission fluid in and does not break the seal to allow dripage. Also, take a look at the bolts. When the gasket is on the pan, the bolts have no thread in that gasket area. If you mount the gasket on the bottom of the transmission pan, you must thread the bolt threads through the rubber gasket to mount the transmission pan- thereby allowing for the possible catching and ripping of the gasket when being assembled.

    Bottom Line recommended

    completed the job only to have to redo it after having the gasket that came with the kit leak out. The rubber gasket ripped when the bolts where tightened down and also hardened around the bolts. After replacing it with a felpro and seeing how cheaply made this kits gasket is I pray that no one ever uses it because you will be battling leaks and doing the job again.
