I was very careful when selecting a wire harness from the auto parts store, they even have a nice booklet on the back that tells you every single type of vehicle that it is supposed to work for. My vehicle, a 2011 crown Victoria is listed at the very top, however these are hugely incredibly different connections. The one from metra is way wider and does not fit any of the pins that came factory with my crown Victoria. What a waste of time and I was excited to hear my new system.

I use this in a 2008 Nissan Rogue SL AWD with 235,000+ miles on it and have used it in the transfer case and rear differential since it's first gear oil change from brand new. Still looks clean after 30,000 mile change intervals. Also use it currently in a 2008 Nissan Titan front axle, 1995 Nissan D21 pickup rear differential and farm equipment gearboxes, all at 30,000 mile or 2 year change intervals regardless. Moisture and corrision reduction and piece of mind. Exceptional gear oil that does what it's supposed to do. Lubrication, Protection and Longevity. Valvoline Synthetic gear oil is even better I'm sure. I just don't use Synthetic gear oil unless required by manufacturer. This conventional stuff is just as good!

1998 Ford Ranger (4 cyl open diff). The first change was at 110,000mi. Just now did another cover off change. I'm wondering now if I wasted my time because everything looked so clean. Very little smooge on the magnetic oil fill plug. Both times I cleaned it out with brake clean and air pressure.

Would definitely check your car's underside first before buying this. On my IS300 it was a pain to reach the inlet. Tried the simple route to the fill hole but the angle was too sharp and the lid popped off. Lost almost half a bag. Had to stuff it over three steel frame parts while securing a screw to the tip so wouldn't lose the rest of it on the way to the fill hole.

Sure it's an average OE Honda oil filter, backed by Honda 1 year warranty (if purchased from the Honda dealer) and you can't go wrong with it. Nothing special, nothing high tech. Just a plain old oil filter that matches Fram tough guard design using Honda specified materials. Great filter and you don't hear of engines failing by using this filter. Having said that, for the high price tag this Honda filter has on it, I would do one of 2 things: 1). Go to the dealer directly and get the part cheaper, or order it online from the dealer for cheaper 2). Skip the Honda badge and go get a Mobil 1, Purolator or Fram Ultra for cheaper price. Better filter for much cheaper with a warranty.

An oil filter is an oil filter but when such small details are handled with such professional candor, it gives me confidence when bigger purchases are needed.
