A CURT trailer hitch is the key to pursuing your passions, whether you’re taking the family boat out for an afternoon on the water or packing up the mountain bikes for a day on the trails. This CURT class 2 hitch is perfect for towing a small trailer, such as a boat trailer, lightweight camper or utility trailer. It can also be used to mount a hitch cargo carrier or bike rack (never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Like all CURT custom hitches, this class 2 trailer hitch is made for a vehicle-specific fit. It is engineered to seamlessly integrate with select years of the Subaru Legacy and Outback (see application info to verify fitment). It is rated for 3,500 pounds gross trailer weight and 300 pounds tongue weight. It is also equipped with 1-1/4″ x 1-1/4″ hitch receiver to accept the included ball mount. The ball mount that comes with this hitch kit has a 3/4″ trailer ball hole and can be positioned in the drop or rise orientation for level towing with your specific trailer (trailer ball not included). Like all CURT custom receiver hitches, this class 2 hitch is designed, manufactured, finished and tested with the utmost care. CURT class 1 trailer hitches are the lightest-duty hitches of our rear mount lineup. They are engineered for reliability, welded together with quality steel and blasted clean for a smooth finish. Tested to meet the strict demands of the industry, this CURT class 1 hitch has a capacity to tow up to 1,500 lbs. of gross trailer weight and 150 lbs. of tongue weight. This means it can handle a variety of small trailers such as single-axle utility trailers, canoe and kayak trailers, dirt bike trailers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc.). This class 1 hitch is a fixed-tongue hitch, having a fixed draw bar to accept a trailer ball rather than a receiver tube to accept a ball mount. Class 1 hitches are typically mounted on compact cars, full-size cars and some smaller crossover SUVs, minivans and compact SUVs. This particular hitch is designed to be a custom-fit trailer hitch for certain years of the Subaru sedan 2WD or 4WD (including Loyale) (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). It comes with all necessary installation hardware. Each CURT class 1 hitch is co-cured with a liquid A-coat and a high-gloss black powder coat that provide a lasting defense against rust, wear and harmful UV rays.

When your vehicle does not readily provide an electrical connection for hooking up your trailer, CURT electrical converts offer the solution. Working tail lights on your trailer are absolutely essential any time you tow, and a converter provides an effective way to properly equip your vehicle for safe towing. A CURT electrical converter, much like our custom vehicle-to-trailer wiring harnesses, provides a trailer connector on your vehicle by slicing into the vehicle’s electrical system. Electrical converters are designed to splice directly into the taillight wiring, rather than plugging into various sockets, giving them the nickname “taillight converters”. Though it requires a little extra work compared to a custom wiring harness, a tail light converter offers a reliable, long-term connector solution. This converter wiring kit is intended to be used with various CURT powered taillight converters. Powered converters require a direct connection to the vehicle’s battery, and the powered converter wiring kit #55151 provides all of the components needed to establish a secure connection. The kit includes 20 feet of 12 gauge wire, a 10-amp fuse, an in-line fuse holder, a 3/8″ ring terminal, a butt connector, a 14-1/2″ cable tie and eight 6″ cable ties. This wiring kit is rated at 10 amps and comes included with CURT powered electrical converters #59146, #59187, #59190, #59200 and #59201.
