I felt like I should replace the original one since the car is 15 years old and has 100k miles on it. I took the original one off and it still looked brand new, no cracks, or anything else. I went ahead and put this one on since I already had it. But after looking at how good the original looked I wonder if people really need to change belts anymore. The quality of the rubber seems to have increase dramaically in the last few decades. I'd recommend only replacing it if you're already in there doing something like an alternator or a water pump. Otherwise leave the OEM one alone.

This belt sould not be used. Even when the tension pulley is turned to the fullest, there is still not enough slack to pull the belt over all the pullies. DO NOT BUY.

I purchased and installed this belt for a scheduled replacement of an OEM Subaru belt (even thought there were no signs of wear or issues with the original OEM part). It worked fine for a month or two and then began to squeak & squeal. I checked all of the pulleys and tried to clean the belt and apply "dressing" to stop the squeaking with no success. I replaced the Dayco belt with a new Subaru OEM part and the squeaking stopped. In general, there doesn't appear to be as much friction material on the back side of the dayco belt where the belt contacts the idler pulley and tensioner pulley. I assume this is the cause of the squeaking. Luckily the belt is very easy to change, but I will not use non OEM belts from now on.

It is supposed to be compatible with 16 Land Rover Range Rover 3L V6 Diesel engine, but it is too long by 47mm. The tensioner will not make up for the difference. The belt will squeal louder than a piglet. Advance took back the part without questioning and courteously issued a refund. The product quality was fine, but wrong size and should not be recommended for this application.
