• The Brake Pedal Position Sensor monitors the movement or position of the brake pedal to control anti-lock brake operation, brake lights, and turn off cruise control if applied.

The Brake Pedal Position sensor is similar to the Stop Light Switch but is a more critical sensor input to the vehicle stability system.
