Main journals looked good, but 3 out of the 4 rod journals had tooling scratches that needed to be dressed out, kit came with King brand bearings of which 3 of the main bearings had sharp edges that had to be dressed. Use caution and thoroughly inspect crankshaft and all bearings prior to install.

Poor machining, even worse quality bearings. Installed it my truck started one time for about 15 seconds then locked up because the bearings shredded.

Placed my order: 1st box came and crank was not in the box, called customer service and they made me bring the empty box back to the store and return an EMPTY BOX. The store called and refused to return it as it would be on their sheet. Customer Service finally agreed to send me out a new one. 2nd box came and the crank was full of rust. The rust was so bad, that there were pits in the metal. when I turned the crank over, chunks were missing from the crank. It was worthless and could not be used. 3rd box came and I finally received a crank that could not used. Once I did receive a good once, it does appear to be a good crank. All items that come with it, fit as they should.

The crankshaft remanufactures crank kit came with high quality king main bearings and rod bearings. It had perfect fitment straight out of the box. All tolerances checked out fine.. I installed this in my daily driver work truck that pulls a lawn care trailer 100+ miles a day and It works perfectly.. The journals were only turned .010 on the main bearings and .020 on the rod bearings which in my opinion is perfectly acceptable for a factory rebuild or even a mild performance rebuild.

Machining on rebuilt crank was BAD. The advanced store said they will make good on it but do not know when they can get me another crankshaft. I am eating about 10 Hours of labor IF I can get another crankshaft. The RIGHT thing for Advanced to do, seeing they can not tell me when rebuilt crank is available is to supply a non rebuilt crank to take its place. Was told by store it could possibly take up to a couple of months. I do not have a couple of months to get this car running. Very dissatisfied with the whole situation.

This product is going to be used for a rebuild on eight 350 Chevrolet engine. The existing crankshaft was beyond repair and advance auto parts offered this remanufactured crankshaft kit with rod and main bearings. This was a no-brainer for a budget minded rebuild. The bearings that are included in this kit are very decent. The grinds on the crankshaft are precise making the installation that much more easier. I have not found any flaws about this purchase at this time. I would recommend checking this out if you're looking for a budget minded crankshaft kit.
