This crankcase breather repair kit directly replaces the crankcase breather element on specific vehicles. It features the exact fit, function and performance as the factory part, and can potentially save you time and money if the OEM dealership only has the complete breather assembly, forcing you to also buy the lower aluminum housing, even if that isn’t the failure point. The separator can fail on its own, either by clogging, cracking, or having a separator bearing fail from age and wear, which is indicated by noise and vibration. Excessive oil mist from the gas outlet can also be a failed separator symptom. When any of those failures occur, you can replace the separator with this kit, reducing part costs and install time by not having to replace the lower housing on the engine block.
