Didn't show as an option in the counter man's search but I had seen it on the website. I showed it to him and he had it in stock. Exact match to the OEM except for the Mopar logo. Plugged right in

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer. The worst part of the repair was getting the old struts off. The nuts at the top of the old assembly were rusted on. The new struts fit perfectly. I feel a lot safer knowing that the new struts are on the vehicle

THIS MONROE QUIK STRUT ASSY COST A LOT BUT I FIGURED IT WOULD LAST LONGER THAN THE 04 MOUNTAINEER FACTORY ASSY BUT THERE IS NO WAY THAT WILL HAPPEN..THE SPRING ALREADY LOOKS LIKE A BALL OF RUST & LOOKS WORSE THAN THE ONE I TOOK OFF..LIFETIME WARRENTY BUT LABOR IS REAL EXPENSIVE TO HAVE SOMEONE INSTALL ONE..DON'T RECOMMEND IT..GO FOR THE CHEAPO ONES..PROBABLY JUST AS GOOD!

I was not sure if I would be able to do this, but thought I would try to save some money by doing it myself. Rear spring on 2002 Explorer was broken, so I decided to replace both of the rear struts. The tools that I used include: a jack, 3 ton jack stand, 13mm ratchet wrench, 15mm ratchet wrench, 15mm socket, 16mm socket, 18mm socket, 21mm deep wall socket, air compressor (I used an 8 gallon 2.5 hp.), impact wrench (700 ft. lbs.), and a 24" or 36" pry bar (I used a 36" alignment pry bar which worked perfect). The first side took some time to prep and then install the new strut - it was a learning experience, but the 2nd side took an hour and a half from start to finish, which from what I understand falls within a normal time range for this project. The product is well worth the money and the removal / installation was not very difficult for me.

The Hopkins website and the Advance website say this is an "exact fit for your vehicle". It is not. While it plugs right in to the factory wiring, the holes in the body of the connector do not align with the holes in hitch. They are just enough out of alignment that not a single bolt can be attached.
