My power steering hose was leaking at the pump connnection, the hose was loose and couldn't be tightened up. Replacing the o-ring on the original hose didn't fix it so I purchased this replacement hose and the leak stopped. Replacing it was not too difficult, but I did have to remove the air filter box to get to the fiting on the steering box, which was a bit of a pain but OK when I found the nuts on the bottom could be reached from the wheelwell.

High pressure hose - Power steering to Fan. The last bend before the fan is too long and the angles is wrong. Kept having to undo fan fitting to get power steering fitting. Angles are wrong on Power steering end also. Lots of pushing and twisting to get it installed. I will never but another Carquest part again. Took more than 10 hours to connect hose.

This fit pretty good. This hose may be for other applications as well as the 2002 WJ with 4.7. Only thing I didn't care for was too many threads on the power steering pump side of hose. You have to position the steel hose just perfect so the upper radiator hose will fit. All said, the hose is in and does not leak.

The "U" bend on the bottom of the fitting that goes into the hydraulic fan motor is deeper than stock making it difficult to get in place and when you do, the angle is wrong to get the threads to screw in. You could probably unbolt the fan shroud/motor assembly and move it enough to get the line to thread in but it would put undue stress on everything when bolted back together. I returned part and will be buying the oem part from Chrysler/Jeep dealer.

Top fitting was threaded fine. Went right in. Bottom fitting threads were flat, not cut sharp enough. (The old fitting went back in fine). I ended up having to use a rotary tool cut-off wheel to dress the starting threads just to get it in. Finally got it started and seated. No leaks. Frustrating that what should have been a 10 minute job ended up taking more than an hour.
