It is is crazy that one little part, and such a cheap part at that, fixed my heat/air issue. My heat would only blow on high (the fan) and that would result in me getting too hot and getting annoyed by the loud noise. I replaced this blower resistor and voila! Heat and air works evenly on all levels now, and this was so perfect. I recommend!

If fan runs after install but little air movement then the wires on the included pigtail (module to fan motor) are likely reversed. Remove retainer on either end of pigtail, reverse wires, and snap retainer back in place. This is an intelligent PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) motor speed controller that replaces similar OEM module - not a "Resistor" as described. I've installed two, pigtail wiring was reversed on both, but swapping is really easy.

Got these for my 2016 Mazda CX-5 2.5 L originals had 108,000 miles no issues. Owners manual specifies using Mazda spark plugs, stealer wanted $40 per plug, not gonna happen, a little research and exact match. 300+ miles no issues/codes that's why 4 stars, if I get 100,000 miles 5 stars . Definitely reasonably priced and had a coupon, no brainer.

Used this to repair my 01 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it restored the fan motor operation after the original resistor wiring had melted and left me without any Blower speed. It actually works better now than it ever has, plenty of blower force since the replacement..

The install was relatively easy. You will need to small screws to connect the resitor block to the mounting plate. The next problem was the fan running backwards and not moving much air. To fix the fan problem remove the harness between the resistor block and the fan. Next insert a small screw driver into the front of the plug between the flat side of the blade connector and the plug housing to release the tab holding the connector in the housing. After removing both connectors make sure the tabs are bent out so they will hold when reinserted and then reinsert the connectors so they are opposite the wires in the other plug. Reinstall the harness and the fan shuld blow air properly. To save time compare the new fan harness to the old fan harness to match the polarity of the plug.

This was the correct part for a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. The first module I purchased, which was supposed to be correct according to several auto parts retailers, did not fit at all. That's probably not Advanced fault but i would have given five stars if I hadn't have put so much work into before finding it was not correct.

I got one of these and it didn't work -- the fan blew all the time, I could literally not turn it off. Got a 2nd one and it works great, so 50/50 on working/not working. The original was French (Valeo), this replacement is Chinese. Does not appear that they do 100% quality control testing on these things. So basically, get one if you need it, but be prepared to return it and get another if it's defective.

I started out my heater fan was inop. I tried domain resistor and I only had high speed so I tried a second one seem thing Up graded to a BWD resister and everything works like it should.

I have replaced four of these now. Drop the glovebox and it's right there. Two 8mm screws and it's in and out. NOW - the REASON these things fail is because the blower motors get tired and pull too much juice. So if you only replace this resistor, you'll be doing it again. Do yourself a favor and REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR and then your replacement resistor will never fail again. YOU MUST REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR TOO. I'm honestly surprised the manufacturer doesn't require this. Now... as to this part, after I REPLACED THE BLOWER MOTOR :), the first one I got was intermittent; it would only vary between 40-60% blower speed. So I returned it and the second one works perfectly. So a not-so-great review on this part. I installed two BWD resistors in other vans and they work fine.
