The positive ratcheting action won’t allow you to over-shift and miss a gear at that critical moment, along with the reverse lockout feature meets NHRA/IHRA safety rules for those weekend grudge races at the track, while the look and feel of the T-handle and accordion style shift boot really shows off its racing heritage. Other features include a black console that you can trim to match the contour of your vehicle’s floor, 5-foot long shifter cable, cable brackets, transmission shift levers, chrome plated top plate with lighted gear indicator and everything needed for an easy at home installation. An optional T-handle with a 12-volt button is available separately for actuating a trans-brake, nitrous oxide or other accessories for the hard-core performance enthusiast. This shifter fits most popular Chrysler, Ford and GM 3 and 4-speed automatic transmissions. If you’ve installed tires that are larger or smaller than original equipment tires, or if you have installed a ring and pinion gear set with a different rear gear ratio, the Max Energy Spectrum allows you to re-program for correct speedometer readings, as well as correct part-throttle shifting. The vehicle’s computer calculates your vehicle’s speed based on the diameter of the stock tires. If you’ve installed taller or shorter tires, or changed the rear gear ratio, the vehicle’s computer doesn’t know how fast your vehicle is going.
