    If your replacing your brakes due to uneven wear these boots could be the culprit... if they are damaged one or more of the following can happen: : the silacone lube can become contaminted or dried up : moisture and dirt can enter the slide pin hole resulting in rust and can cause your slide pins to rust in place : the outer pad can remain in contact with the rotor causing excessive heat and uneven wear. When this happens typicaly the lower slide pin will be frozen in place and rusty... I replaced the front rotors and pads on my 2002 Accord due to eneven wear caused by a stuck guide bolt and recomend replacing these every brake job... *** INSTALLATION TIP 1: ONLY USE SILICONE LUBE ON SLIDE BOOTS AND PINS... petroleum lubes can cause the rubber to swell, become soft and tear easily and you'll be right back where u started with uneven brake wear *** INSTALLATION TIP 2: roll caliper side of boot back onto the first accordian fold... kinda like when your roll your lip inside out... sounds wierd but will make installation a snap... otherwise it will not seat against caliper correctly *** and on a side note... i recomend a little anit-sieze on the rotor retaining screws...

    Didnt sit/seat well or stay on new bracket but fit snug on new pins. It did fit into the old bracket just rt snug. Dont know y they made it this way it should snap in better.
