would be nice if it came with some cheep plastic bleeders & hose so you could bleed the master --I had to fabricate my own out of old brake line & fittings & hose --other than that seems like it should do the job

Make sure it is bench bled till no bubbles are left in the fluid. Don't try it with plugs.

Appears to be a straightforward replacement for a standard component. My only complaint is that the "anti-corrosion" coating appears to be totally ineffective. The external surface began rusting within days of installation from humidity alone.

By Master Cylinder Mix Up
From Memphis , Tn
I have a 1985 chevy k30,6.2 Diesel, 4X4. I needed a master cylinder. When I typed my vehicle information into the computer two master cylinders came up showing to be exact fits. One Part # 1354-1584 stamped 1605 and the other part # 13-1982 stamped 1925. I contacted the online Advance Auto employee and asked them the difference between the two. I was iformed that they both should work they are showing exact fits. Ok so I purchased the one stamped 1605 because it has a larger resevior. I odered it, when it came I bench bleed it and put it on. It didnt work. When I took it off I noticed that the master cylinder end where the hydraulic push rod is inserted is alot deeper than the master cylinder stamped 1925. I believe the difference between the two are this, the master cylinder part 13-1584 stamped 1605 might be to a vacuum power booster and part 13-1982 stamped 1925 is to a hydraulic booster. If you look at the pictures of both master cylinders you can see the difference between the two ends. I hope this helps.
