    Junk i have to replace my dipstick again for the 3rd time in 3months. Also like the other person who wrote a review I have to get the plastic out of my transmission tube, which now is costly. I just wanted to change my dipstick, thats all, now it's costing me over 150.00 dollarrs

    Was very excited to see this product, as it was not carried by other auto parts dealerships. However, upon my first use of the dipstick the plastic inside broke and fell all the way down into the transmission. So instead of a simple replacement, I now have plastic in my transmission. Save yourself the time, money, and stress - find a different product.

    The very end of this dip stick has a curled loop to make it easier to slide down into the tube just like the MFG original stick. EXCEPT that thecurled loop at the tip is not closed so it will either immediately or very soon hook at the end of the dip stick tube. The cost to me was one hundred fifty three dollars to have the transmission serviced to remove the pan, un-hook the stick and refill the tranny. Advance Auto refused to take responsibility for the sale of, or the resulting cost or damage of defective parts. (even if you return the part and show them the cost of the resulting damage to you vehicle. I just want you to be ware of this.
