Having checked the reviews on multiple websites, I decided to test fit my coils and plugs ahead of time. I am glad I did. I found that some of the coil wires were not quite to specifications. Some of the coils at the spark plug end were almost too big to fit the cap on the spark plugs. I mixed and matched until I got them all fitted as best I could. Now I will wait and see how well they work in the long run.

If resolved my issue. The Motorcraft brand is definitely more expensive. However, I've lots of reviews on using other brands, and people tend to have more problems using any brand other Motorcraft.

Bought these for a Grand Marquis we just got. The vehicle got a full servicing including a tune up yesterday. One coil went bad on the day of purchase. My cousin, who is a great Ford mechanic told that one goes bad it does not stop & at 67K it was bound to start. I put in new plugs, with these coils & the vehicle runs better than new. Just in the one day they have been in, fuel mileage went up by 2, throttle response it better & combine with true duel exhaust & cold air box, This Boulevard Bruiser is ready for action. I also bought 3 extra for future replacement

good price, works great, problem is the applications that are claimed fits, like a 3l ford ranger, are not accurate, modification is required for the coil to distributor wire to attach properly, easy enough for the experienced but likely frustrating for inexperienced DIY'r.

3 years ago, I had 2 OEM coils go bad in about 2 month period. On the recommendation of a FORD master mechanic I replaced all 8 FORD OEM coils with these ACCEL coils. So far in 3 years two have gone bad. PO30X misfire codes. Hopefully the newer ACCEL coils will last longer than the older ones.
