The Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI Kit No. 35680 for Ford big-block 429-460 engines is a fully sequential multi-port injection system designed with a fuel injector strategically positioned in each runner of the intake manifold to deliver the best fuel atomization and most even distribution to each cylinder. This system features the high-performance Super Victor single-plane intake manifold that comes preassembled with high-flow injectors, fuel rails and 4150-flange throttle body. All supporting sensors, wire harnesses and ECU are included along with a full-color installation manual. The Super Victor EFI manifold is designed with a larger cross-sectional area in the plenum with longer runners for high-horsepower and/or large cubic-inch applications. This kit uses 42 Lb/Hr injectors and is rated for 675 horsepower at 58 PSI of fuel pressure. The temperature of various systems must be reported to the engine control module (ECM) as well as other operating system controllers in the vehicle. Coolant temperature, cabin temperature, exhaust temperature and ambient temperature are just a few systems reported by a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is fed 5 volts by the systems computer, within the sensor housing will be a thermistor, or dropping resistor whose resistance value will change as the temperature surrounding it changes. The EGR system is an emission control device designed to recirculate exhaust gas into the engines air intake system and back to the combustion chamber to control nitrogen oxides or NOx. The chemical NOx is created when oxygen and nitrogen are heated above 2,800-degree F. Exhaust gas, or gas that is displaced from the combustion chamber, contains little to no oxygen molecules. By recirculating this gas back into the combustion chamber fewer oxygen molecules are available for the combustion event which will therefore create a cooler combustion event. The EGR valve can be actuated by engine vacuum or electronically by the engine control module. The EGR Valve Position Sensor allows the engine control module to monitor the location and operation of the EGR valve.
