The bleeding instructions are useless. It refers to using the same method as brakes, and assumes there's a similar type bleed fitting - there is not. Best way to bleed is to remove the entire system intact (Master cylinder, reservoir and slave cylinder) and bleed by hand as its all hanging from a hook.

I bought the master cylinder & slave cylinder since the old ones were original '83 equipment. These units reuse the original High pressure hose. Provided were new O-rings and new retaining pins. Bleeding the system is the most tedious procedure. I found that by filling and bleeding the master cylinder per the instructions, then attaching the hose was the way to go. I used a new clean plastic syringe that came with an ethanol additive product worked well to fill the hose. The nozzle was small enough to fit into the hose and made the job a lot easier. Then bled and attached the slave cylinder.

This slave cylinder does not work for a 1990 f150. It is meant to be used for the next generation of f150s. The connection for the master cylinder line is wrong.
