1994 F150 temp gauge quit working and this fixed it. Truck has the 5.8 engine and this part was easy to replace.

I have a 7.3 Powerstroke excursion. I tried Other brands (black and grey) from every other auto parts store... and they all failed. The gauge did not work with them. Ohms were about 1,500 - 2,000 at room temperature, which is exactly the right reading. I am happy. Thank you.

After trying the first emo sender I bought, I thought I had a problem with the guage. After triple checking the wiring, I did some research and found the first sensor was wrong. Found this sensor, and it worked perfectly for my 7.3 powerstroke temp guage.

Said exact fit for 2002 Ford F250 7.3. It did fit, just did not work right. Gauge shows half-scale when started then full scale when warm.

The manual I found says the coolant temperature sender should vary its resistance from 73 ohms when cold to 9.7 ohms when hot. My tests indicate that the gauge in my 1989 Ranger expects those values. Although the website says this sender "fits your vehicle," I measured 167 ohms when cold and 56 ohms when the engine was warmed up. As a result, the gauge barely moves above the cold end of the dial. I have not been able to find a sender that will work with my gauge, which is a standard factory unit. Unfortunately, the manufacturers' specs for resistance typically are not listed with these parts online, so you have to dig around quite a bit to determine whether "fits your vehicle" is true.

Fixed my Ranger temp gauge sitting on "C" even after driving for long periods of time. No leaks after one week of use.
