Worked out great. put it on a work van with 362000 + miles. coolant was leaking and filling the spark plug holes. this van was purchased with 80000 miles on it, and I replaced the factory spark plugs at 331000 miles. No joke! the intake must have been leaking lightly around that time but wasn't obvious that was causing the misfires and coil problems. The self-tapping screws leave a little to be desired, but the key here is not to use power tools on the installation or removal of the screws. slow down and put the power tools away!!! and the owner of the van and me both noticed that it picked up some performance gain. I guess it could be just because it's new or the design change. If I owned a 5.4 I would put one on just because it's cleaner looking plus no debris trapped under the intake. Ford made a good one here.

It dose infact work, however it takes significantly more time to install then an OEM intake. If you are trying salvage a job opportunity by cutting parts cost this will cost you in extra labor and frustration. The fitment is bearly acceptable use silicone!

If you like gambling with you time and money buy this manifold if not stay away! I bought this Intake manifold to replace the factory oem on a 2004 f-250 5.4 that developed a leak on the cross over. After reading the reviews for this unit and watching a few youtube videos online, I was nervous and hesitant on buying this unit. I was hesitant on buying this manifold due to the fact so many people had reported that the manifold had failed right out of the box , costing people tons of time and money. The large amount of negative reviews for this manifold consisted of poor workmanship including Holes or cracks in the plastic along with injector rail holes not drilled out causing the manifold to fail out of the box. After calling around to a few junk yards and finding out the price oem from ford dealer I decided to take a chance and save a few bucks and bought this unit. I figured what are the odds, and not every manifold could be bad so I took a chance and off To Advance I went. Man was I wrong! When I got home home I opened the box to inspect the manifold and I immediately noticed three small holes/chips in the plastic making the part defective. Also on the crossover rail I noticed what looked like a small crack that was filled in with a epoxy. I brought the part back to the store to exchange and manger agreed that part was defective and went in the back to get another. When we opened up the second unit we also discovered even more holes and chips in the plastic. The store employee deemed both units were defective and gave me a full refund. wow two identical manifolds with that same holes and chips. No quality control! See attached pictures.....good luck!

This purchase has been terrible. Initial installation, as soon as I got it out of the box, missing one screw (only for one of the eight injectors, no big deal). Not to mention, they are literally screws to dig into the plastic. No machining of any kind. Therefore, not made to last. Second, noticed a piece of gasket sticking out where, from the factory, they've mounted the throttle body to the upper intake plenum. (Stock this is all one piece). So I disassembled this and re-posotioned seal. Okay, still.... not a huge deal. Today, I'm on my way home from work. About half way home, and a bypass cover that comes applied to a coolant source pops off. Lost a ton of coolant, had to get a ride to the parts store, I did fix it but this is terrible. I'm in disbelief. Cant rely on any aftermarket parts these days. If I had to do it again? I'm going OEM manufacturer. No way to rely on the cheap poor design of aftermarket here. Well worth the extra $100.

Gasket was pinched from factory. Missing screw needed to hold a coil over down. An overall poorly constructed product. Instead of using machinedsleeve for all bolts needed for install, they use plastic, and wood screws. Not meant for any kind of longevity. Should have bought a motorcraft intake manifold. Only reason I chose this product was availability. I needed my truck that night.

This product is cheaply made and plastic. It comes with skinny rubber o-rink gaskets but if you try to use gasket sealant be careful because there is little room and not much seating surface to matter. Radiator leak is the most common problem at any corner of the intake. Ford knows it is a problem and if you have not purchased the vehicle before December 2005 and presented it to them before that date they will do nothing for it. No option for a full aluminum intake is available with Weiand, Holley or Edelbrock! You have no choice other than using this junk if you insist on keeping a 5.4 engine in your Ford. I have heard of 4.6 conversion kits but very little info out there for this option.
