The reason for 1 star is because it was the second sensor put in in 5 months because it was actually rubbing against the shaft which wore a groove in the sensor down to the copper and shorted out, because it is supposed to come with a paper gasket that you put on in front of the mounting bracket where the bolt that holds it in place goes. And neither time did the gasket come with the sensor, so luckily we bought the Haynes manual for the 2000 grand cherokee, and by luck my fiance was reading through the install process in the book and seen where it said to be sure to use the paper gasket to prevent the sensor from making contact with the spinning wheel that the sensor gets its reading from. If she would not have seen that in the instructions we would be repeating this job that is a pita again in a few months. Very angry that the gasket was missing bot times and caused me a major headache because of the location of the sensor it is super, super hard to get at to replace it. All over a simple gasket.

The crankshaft position sensor was a perfect fit for my 3.9 liter, manual Dodge Dakota. Unfortunately, I was replacing a replacement that had failed.

2000 Dodge Dakota was running rough and coded timming misfire, so I only had 100,000 miles on truck, figured it wasn't timing chain so I installed sensor. Runs perfect now.

Worked as expected, sensor was installed on a 2007 Doge Caliber 2.0l

Will not fit in a 2009 jeep patriot 2.4L regardless of what they say. The OEM part is about a quarter of an inch shorter than this one. The sensor bottoms out before it is even close to being in.
Bottom Line not recommended
Ended up not needing as it wasn't the cause of problem. Would have been the part if needed.

Good quality. Fixed my stalling issue and P1391 trouble code on my 2001 Ram 2500. Magnet in sensor is noticebly weaker than the oem unit removed. But that doesn't seem to be an issue. Only two bolts hold this in, but they are NOT easy to access unless you are Gumby.
2001 dodge ram 2500 5.9 gas auto trans. - had hard starting, stalled in gear when hot. After cap, rotor, wires , plugs, oxygen sensors - I finally replaced this crankshaft sensor - Runs great! Very hard to get too. can barely see it from under truck. have to work by feel. tough job, but you can do it. used 6" wobble extension from the top with 1/4" Allen hex adapter. the bolt has a 1/4" hex socket in the top. only took an hour to do , but one tough hour. I hope this helps someone.

This part fixed my backing up issue immediately. No more stalling.
