For a 1999-2004 Chrysler 300M, 1998-2001 Chrylser LHS, 1998-2004 Dodge Intrepid, & 1998-2004 Chrysler Concorde. You need 4 Rack and pinion bushings or 2 boxes. Two on the left near the power steering and two on the right where the rack and pinion bracket is located. The rack and pinion bushings may help some of the play in the steering along with the popping sound commonly heard on Chryslers when turning the wheel all the way to the left or right. If the rack and pinion bushings do not come out easily then I would think that they are still good. If the bushings are deteriorated then they will usually fall out of the rack and pinion unit when trying to remove them.
