    The part does not fit correctly to the frame bracket without shimming it with washers. The castle nut is too short and the cotter pin does not engage the nut. After installation it was greased and there was an unacceptable amount of play in the bearing causing slop in the steering, which was the entire reason for replacing the old one. The drivers side idler arm is still the factory original and has zero play. I replaced it with the next step up price wise, but it looked identical to this one and had the same unacceptable play. Used it for a six months and it failed inspection. Spent a considerable amount on an OEM part (not sold here) and now everything is good.

    The part didn't fit correctly. I had to modify one of the washers to fit it property. The ball joint was way to long, the cotter pin barely engaged the castle nut. Less than one year of easy service the rubber was gone and it needed replacement.
