Other features include a black console that you can trim to match the contour of your vehicle’s floor, 5-foot long shifter cable, cable brackets, transmission shift levers, chrome plated top plate with lighted gear indicator and everything needed for an easy at home installation. An optional T-handle with a 12-volt button is available separately for actuating a trans-brake, nitrous oxide or other accessories for the hard-core performance enthusiast. Roller cam lobes are ground flat rather than tapered like a flat tappet cam; it is necessary to provide some means of holding the cam back to the rear of the engine. The thrust button rides between the front of the timing gear and the back of the front cover and can be shimmed for proper end play of the cam. COMP Cams has both the solid nylon button and the roller thrust bearing available for the ultimate in performance.

This chrome plated breather, or oil filler cap, is internally baffled with filter. Very similar to the original equipment breather used on 1965-1967 Chevrolet 396-427 Big Blocks. GM (General Motors) #6421868. Fits valve cover openings with 1.22 inch diameter. Its overall dimensions are 2-1/8 inch tall and 2-1/2 inch in diameter.

Mr. Gasket High Performance Thermostats are designed to resist large variations of coolant pressure at high RPM (revolutions per minute). This allows them to fully open at correct temperature consistently regardless of engine RPM. The design also provides the high flow that engines operated a higher RPM need. This thermostat also features a copper/brass construction to further resist corrosion.
