    I would. I went through 3 of these in a 4 month time span. I would consider it being a problem with the truck, however all 3 failures were different. Solenoid stuck on one of them causing the truck to continuously crank, gear would not engage on one of them, gear would not disengage on one of them. I would rate this starter as somewhat useless unless you want a door stop

    I have a couple year old crate SBC vortec 350 that is a replacement motor in the C/K 1500-2500 trucks. I had an old model starter from advance that worked for about the first year but had previously worked for about 10 years prior as well, so I decided to get another. Since then, I have gone through 12 of these starters. I've had bendix gears shatter, cases blow in half, holes blown through cases as well, they've eaten my flywheel, and had one keep engaging after the motor had started. It is not the car because the starters work for about 2 weeks and then break. Now I can't even return the part for my money back due to the horrid return policy. I now have to wait 6 months to get money back so I can fix my daily driver all because these parts are the worst excuse of quality manufacturing that I have ever seen. I will never recommend one of these ever, and will probably stop recommending the store as well.

    Tapered bolt holes to keep them from falling out hitting you in the face, Difficult part was attaching the wiring with one hand holding the weight of the starter with the other, suggest chevy make a quick disconnect improvement they do have to be replaced. It's hard to recommend with only three days of use. So far so good!!
