The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor determines the exact temperature of the engine coolant by sending an analog signal to the ECM to censure proper air/fuel ratio along with proper operation of the cooling fan(s) and temperature gauge. The Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor may be located on the cylinder head, engine block, thermostat housing or intake manifold. ARP timing cover bolts are available in both polished stainless steel or black oxide finish chrome moly. You also can choose between standard hex head bolts or compact 12 point fasteners. Studs are preferred by many pro engine builders because they eliminate the chance of pinching gaskets and contribute to easier engine assembly.
