DescriptionThis Litens belt tensioner is supplied by the original equipment (O.E.) tensioner supplier and meets all form, fit, and performance characteristics of the original equipment part (with the exception of not having the car manufacturer's logo or part number applied to the part). As with the original equipment part, this replacement tensioner is manufactured in Germany for BMW engine applications. The tensioner maintains the O.E. round spring technology as well as the internal damping design specified for this application. As with the original tensioner, the part comes equipped with a heavy duty polymer pulley for optimum performance and durability. To assist with belt removal and installation, this tensioner is equipped with a lift feature and pin that holds the tensioner open during belt routing.

I needed to order BMW PN: 11281427252 on my 2003 BMW 330i and it fit perfectly and the price was on the money! Only thing was that the store doesn't carry it in stock. They carry PN:89342 which is a different type of tensioner.

March 2021. Dayco 89342. Used in BMW 2004 E46 325i. Appears to have been on the shelf awhile. The one I got was Made in Germany. FOR ALTERNATOR/ POWER STEERING/ WATER PUMP. Direct replacement for either spring or hydraulic old part. If replacing an old hydraulic unit like me, you will need two new mounting bolts, Class 10.9 M8-1.25 x 30mm bolts, plus washers. NO bolts come with the part. It does include dust cap. The tension release "nut" should be closest to the water pump pulley when you are installing it correctly. You will use only two of the four available threaded holes to mount the tensioner, unlike the hydraulic unit which uses three holes. I think it was the very top hole, and the second-from-the-bottom hole. Belt is tight, everything is very quiet. We'll see how long it lasts, but it appears to be a high quality product. At the same time also replaced the idler pulley with Dayco 89089, and equal quality product, both on the shelf at AdvanceAutoParts. Verified Buyer.
